Coronavirus information
Anyone who has travelled in China’s Hubei province should self-isolate for 14 days after leaving the Hubei province, other than when seeking individual medical care.
Given the lower number of cases in China reported outside of Hubei province, people who have recently travelled in other parts of China or other countries are not being asked to self-isolate at this time.
If you have developed symptoms of fever and breathing difficulty or cough or have had direct contact with a confirmed case, you should seek medical help immediately.
Before visiting your GP or emergency department you should call ahead and tell them about your recent travel and symptoms.
Hands should be washed regularly with soap and water. Respiratory and cough etiquette should be observed at all times. If you feel sick, avoid contact with others.
The Department of Health and Human Services has established a hotline where any member of the public can call to seek information on Coronavirus and discuss further actions on 1800 675 398.
